Our Wedding

Our story began in a place neither of us expected — work. Little did we know, what started as simple conversations and shared shifts, was building the foundation for something more. From the very beginning, we got along effortlessly; finding comfort, laughter, and ease in each other’s company.

How We Met

About four years ago, Curtis graduated from his Health Information Management program. With Curtis leaving CVS, it could have been the end of our story; but instead, it became the start of something deeper. Having stayed in touch with each other, over that following year, our connection only grew stronger. No longer coworkers; we spent time together as friends and truly got to know one another.Along the way, we discovered just how much we had in common. Whether it was going out to dinner, taking long walks, or even enjoying adventures like rock climbing; our favorite moments were often the simplest ones, spent side by side.Then one evening while out to dinner, Curtis asked if we could take the next step and build something more serious and real together. From that moment, everything changed. What we had been building turned into a loving, committed relationship. Over the next couple of years, we grew closer and more certain that we had found something truly special.

The Courtship

In the fall of 2025, while Michelle was out of town with her friend Teri on a photoshoot for a newly engaged couple, Curtis took a meaningful step of his own. Curtis met with Michelle’s parents to share his intentions, expressing his love and commitment for her. Curtis asked for their blessing to marry Michelle. He discussed with her family, the future he intended to build with her. He also spoke with them about the ring that he had carefully chosen; a symbol of their future and their love. Then came New Year’s Eve. As the clock struck midnight and the new year began, Curtis surprised Michelle with that very ring. In a moment filled with love, hope, and excitement for everything ahead, he asked her to spend forever together—and she said yes.And now, here we are, ready to begin the next chapter of our story—together.

Bridesmaids 

The maid of honor is not only Michelle’s cousin, but someone who has been by her side for as long she can remember. Growing up, Michelle shared so many special moments with Kristin; memories filled with laughter and joy. 

Kristin has always been more like a sister to her—someone she can count on, confide in, and celebrate life with. Their bond has only grown stronger over the years, and Michelle is so grateful to have Kristin standing beside her on such an important day.

Having Kristin as her maid of honor means the world to Michelle, and she can’t imagine this moment without her; celebrating along side their family!

Michelle met Andrea about 8 years ago at work and they connected right away. Michelle knew Andrea would go on to pursue an amazing career. And although life took them in different directions for awhile, they were able to reconnect a few years ago. Their friendship has grown more and more stronger over time, turning into something truly meaningful. Andrea has become one of the most important people in Michelle’s life; she is incredibly grateful for the bond they share today. Having Andrea stand by Michelle’s side means so much; she is so lucky to call her a friend and someone she truly cherishes.

Michelle met Antonina over 16 years ago while they were in pharmacy school together, and from the very beginning, their friendship felt effortless. Over the years, Antonina became one of Michelle’s closest and most cherished friends. Even after graduating in 2013 and Michelle moving back to Long Island, the distance never changed the bond they shared.
No matter how much time passes between conversations, they always pick up right where they left off, as if no time has passed at all. Antonina has been a constant source of friendship, laughter, love, and support throughout so many stages of life. Michelle is incredibly grateful for their lasting friendship and feels so lucky to have Antonina standing beside her on such an important day.

Michelle met Teri over 10 years ago at work, having been one of Michelle’s first hires. What began as a friendship between coworkers grew into something much more meaningful over time. After Teri left to pursue her passion for teaching, the two stayed in touch throughout the years. A few years ago, they truly reconnected, and since then, Teri has become one of the most important people in Michelle’s life.  Their friendship continues to grow stronger.  They share so many memories; so much laughter and joy. Michelle is beyond grateful to have Teri standing beside her on such a special day and feels so lucky to call her one of her closest friends.

Michelle met Jenn over 12 years ago at work, back when Michelle was still an intern. What started as a coworker friendship quickly grew into a lifelong bond built on laughter, adventures, and so many unforgettable memories together. From their shared love of Disney to their DWTS trips and everything in between, Jenn has been there through so many important moments in Michelle’s life. Over the years, their friendship has only continued to grow stronger, filled with endless support, fun, and a connection that feels truly special. Michelle is beyond grateful to have her standing beside her on such an important day.

Groomsmen 

Curtis’s closest and dearest friend, Gareth and Curtis met nearly 20 years ago through a mutual friend while Gareth was at SUNY Purchase. Their friendship deepened after graduation when they became roommates and lived in Astoria for several years before Curtis moved back to Suffolk County. They’ve remained close, regularly getting together for board games, quality time, and have taken long road trips across the United States. They’ve also played Dungeons & Dragons together consistently for years. Gareth has always been someone Curtis can talk to about anything and truly rely on. Curtis is honored that Gareth accepted the role of Best Man and is extremely grateful to have him in his life.

Mark is the bride’s brother, and from the moment Curtis met him— well before he and Michelle began dating—he knew Mark was someone truly special. The two formed an immediate connection and quickly developed a friendship built on mutual respect, great conversations, and plenty of laughter. Mark is the kind of person who is always willing to listen and offer thoughtful advice, making him someone Curtis has come to value tremendously. As Curtis and Michelle’s relationship grew, so did Curtis and Mark’s bond. They discovered many shared interests, from Disney and great food to a variety of personal passions and hobbies. Curtis asked Mark to be one of his groomsmen while celebrating with Michelle’s family, and he could not be happier to have him standing by his side on their wedding day. As their two families come together, Curtis is honored and grateful to not only gain a brother-in-law, but to proudly call Mark his brother.

Mark Guarriello

Rich is the eldest of the Fotiades brothers and one of Curtis’s closest confidants. Having attended college in Pennsylvania, he established roots there while remaining a steady presence for family events and shared interests. Rich and Curtis bond over running, video games, and board games; their long-running conversations and activities reflect a deep, enduring friendship. Curtis is honored to have his brother stand beside him on the wedding day and to share this important step in life with him.

Rich Fotiades

Ed Fotiades is the second eldest of the Fotiades siblings and has long been a model of strength and reliability for Curtis. Having served in the military with pride, Ed’s dedication and sense of duty have been a lasting inspiration. Although their lives have taken them in different directions at times, their bond remains steadfast—whenever they reunite it is as if no time has passed. Curtis is honored to have Ed stand beside him as a groomsman and deeply values the brotherly support and example Ed provides.

Jason is the brother closest in age to Curtis. They share a passion for cooking and baking, and a mutual commitment to lifelong learning and self-improvement. Jason’s integrity and dedication to doing the right thing have long been an inspiration to Curtis. When Curtis announced his engagement, Jason accepted immediately to serve as a groomsman. Curtis is grateful to have such a dependable and supportive brother standing beside him as he embarks on this new chapter.
